Test your visual acuity

Take 3 large steps back from your computer screen (approximately 3 meters). Close your left eye and read the numbers on the chart with your right eye. Repeat step 2 by reading the numbers with your left eye.

If you have trouble reading any of the numbers above, make an appointment with EyeWorx for a professional examination, which will include testing for other eye disorders such as Glaucoma.

If you did not have trouble, it does not necessarily mean that there is a lack of refractive error or disorder, especially if you are over 40. It’s important to have your eyes checked regularly.

Colour Vision Test

What numbers do you see revealed in the patterns of dots to the right?

If you have trouble reading any of the coloured numbers in the circles to the right, you may have a colour vision disorder. Make an appointment with EYEWORX for a comprehensive examination.

Further Eye Tests

Look at the following:

You need to contact EYEWORX if you see the following:

  • Lines appear wavy, interrupted or missing
  • Colours other than black and white appear
  • Squares appear unequal in size
  • Holes or spaces in the grid

Don’t worry if you happen to see intermittent white dots at the line intersections. This is a normal optical illusion. And if you did not have any trouble, it does not necessarily mean that you do not have refractive error or disorder.

It’s important to have your eyes checked regularly, especially if you are over 40.

Test for Astigmatism

If some areas of the image appear lighter or blurrier than other areas, you may have astigmatism. You need to contact EyeWorx for a full examination to determine whether you need glasses.
